Is Print Really Dead?

I saw this video last week at a presentation sponsored by the Great Lakes Graphics Association.

Is print really dead or do we need think a little outside the box? What are your thoughts?

    O dear,

    I must admit that at the beginning of the video I was rather disturbed! I am so old school when it comes to books. I love to read and I love to annotate (it helps me learn). Don’t get me wrong the latest ereaders are quite convenient when it comes to having more room on your shelves for pictures and pretty knick-knacks, but there is still something about holding a book in my hands and being able to flip back and forth through several pages at a time that keeps me buying hard copies! Thank goodness the narrator read the text backwards, it was quite impressive to see how a perception can change when you look at things from a different angle. This is probably my favorite post I have read yet!

    Thanks for the comments Amber! I was impressed by the way perception changes too. Maybe that is what we need to do daily. We need to remember that for every project, sale, problem, solution, there are always otherwise to look.

    Not Dead…..Just dying!! Left the printing industry four years ago. Never looked back. Loved the industry for 30 years. Specialty printing, packaging will survive. Many more of my friends in the industry have since been replaced through automation in the print industry. I miss the good ole days for sure!!
