There are important differences between using e-mail, FTP, or a Web browser to transfer files. Using the right one can save you time. ALPHABET SOUP! There are several ways to digitally send us a file besides e-mail. Many will save you time and will provide more benefits. The important thing to know about e-mail is it was never really built for file transfer. THE TROUBLE WITH E-MAIL. After attaching a file to e-mail, it makes the file LARGER! This means it's s-l-o-w-er to transfer, the opposite of what most of us want. Files attached to e-mail can get shredded and sometimes never arrive at all!Plus, e-mail does not have a built-in job ticket; it does not generate an instant proof; it's more difficult to use for re-orders; and it does not have a built-in job status system. If you want to send us files using e-mail, you can. But there are better ways that don't have these limitations. GOOD. Like e-mail, Web page file transfer is simple.
